Synopsis
This DVD takes the viewer on a visual journey through the extraordinary biodiversity of the amazon rainforest, providing examples of adaptation, stratification and competition. From the forest floor to high up in the canopy, the film explores the tropical rainforest’s distinct biotic and abiotic characteristics and the conditions that help create this biodiversity hotspot. Climate, soil profile, nutrient and water cycle, are all considered, as is their interdependence with flora and fauna.
