Synopsis
Short video series in which Shakespeare academics and students talk to camera about an aspect of Shakespeare’s work. The aim is to persuade foreign students to study Shakespeare in Britain. Sonia Massai, Professor of Shakespeare Studies at King’s College London, discusses the musical quality of Shakespeare’s language, which often survives in translation to other languages. Sonia also talks of the power of this rhythm to move the characters and to move the reader.
