- Synopsis
- This film portrays the people, traditions and landscape of the New Forest in the 1950s. Featuring music by Clifton Parker, cinematography by Roy Layzell and commentary by John Snagge, it was commissioned by the Esso Petroleum Company in 1952, just as they were establishing a new refinery at Fawley on the eastern edge of the New Forest.
