Carlo Scarpa
- Synopsis
- Film profile of Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa, whose radical approach to remodelling historic buildings, together with his modernist sensibility and sensitivity towards architectural form and natural light, attention to detail and the high quality of the Venetian craft traditions he employed, resulted in such buildings as the art galleries in the Castelvecchio at Verona, the Palazzo Abatellis in Palermo, and the Brion Memorial. The film includes archive footage of Scarpa himself as well as interviews with friends and colleagues.
