Bronte Ways Part 2: Haworth to Gawthorpe Hall
- Synopsis
- This programme takes up the trail where Part 1 left off, pausing in Haworth to explore some significant locations, such as the Black Bull Inn, the apothecary and the churchyard, before climbing to Top Withens to experience the landscape and atmosphere which inspired Wuthering Heights. The journey continues to Ponden Hall and crosses the Pennines to the village of Wycoller featured in Jane Eyre. Crossing into Lancashire near Pendle Hill, the film ends in the surroundings of Gawthorpe Hall, the former home of the Kay-Shuttleworth family who Charlotte visited on several occasions.
