From the Ground Up: The Definitive Scoop on the Coffee Trade

Synopsis
This documentary shows the different phases involved in the production of a cup of coffee, travelling from Guatemala to South Carolina to New York City, to show each stage from growing, picking and processing to the distribution, brewing and ultimately the selling of the product from a pushcart in Manhattan. Featuring minimal narration, the power of the film derives from the way the cumulative images build to form a picture showing how this ubiquitous product comes at a price to most of the workers who make it available.
