Synopsis
Compilation of the eight films made by Ken Russell between 1983 and 2002 for The South Bank Show, on Vaughan Williams, Arnold Bax, Elgar, a portrait of the widows of four British composers, a found-footage illustration of Gustav Holst’s The Planets and Russell’s personal take on musical history, a documentary about the German composer Anton Bruckner as well as an autobiographical film.
