Future Earth
- Synopsis
- A geography teaching resource looking at possible solutions from science that could help global warming. Using satellite imagery and CGI, this programme offers the most accurate possible visual forecast for the planet’s future if global warming continues unchecked. But it also brings a positive message, showing the ingenious solutions in development around the world that will mitigate global warming, such as hydroelectric power; artificial trees; zero-emission cities; even a world without cattle where meat is produced from the stem cells of pigs. The message of the programme is - although global warming is a reality, there is hope; collectively we can reverse the process before it’s too late.
