Anatomy for Exercise

Synopsis
Software designed for fitness professionals in training and practice. It makes complex anatomy easy to learn, and it makes functional anatomy easy to remember and apply to clients on the job. The software contains detailed views of the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems as well as an overview of anatomical language. The anatomy section provides 43 animations of normal muscle function during movement. These 3-D models can be manipulated so that all structures are visible. Layers of anatomy can be added or removed, and all structures are identified by pop-up labeling and brief descriptive text.

This DVD-ROM contains a variety of features: The anatomical planes are expressed visually. Animation is then used to illustrate joint actions and muscle function commonly performed during exercise, including flexion, extension, adduction, abduction, and internal and external rotation. In addition, 3-D models of the heart and 3-D sequences of the cardiac cycle better illustrate the anatomy and processes.
