Milking the Rhino
- Synopsis
- MILKING THE RHINO examines the deepening conflict between humans and animals in an ever-shrinking world. It is the first major documentary to explore wildlife conservation from the perspective of people who live with wild animals. Two of the world’s oldest cattle-cultures - the Masai and the Himba - have actually suffered from the conservation efforts imposed on them by whites. This film looks at how some villagers have embraced eco-tourism, which focuses on community-based conservation that balances the needs of the people with that of the wildlife. In Masai, Ojihimba, and English with English subtitles.
