Amazon

Synopsis
In this series, anthropologist and adventurer Bruce Parry journeys the length and breadth of the largest river in the world - the Amazon. Tracing the giant river from its origins high in the Andes to its end, where it meets the sea on Brazil’s Atlantic coast, Parry stays with the many and varied tribes who are desperately trying to maintain their way of life in a rapidly disappearing landscape. Parry also finds out what it’s like for those who make their living by working in the Amazon, the ranchers, loggers, scientists, and environmentalists who live in this spectacular, yet threatened environment.
