Take One Museum: The Royal Navy Submarine Museum Interactive Broadband Video

Synopsis
This interactive video is part of a BBC trial to find out more about the delivery of rich video content via broadband, and new ways of interacting with that content. The original 30-minute programme shown on BBC 4 is about the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, which is packed with surprises - from the lavatory that changed the course of submarine history, to the pigeon more effective than the most advanced nuclear sub on the planet. It also contains the X24 - the only miniature submarine to actually survive its missions in World War II. At certain points you will be able to interact with the video and watch 20 minutes of extra content, to find out more about the stories Paul is telling you.

How to interact with the programme - By clicking on ‘Launch the video’, you’ll automatically start to watch the programme as originally seen on BBC 4. While you’re watching, you will see icons drop down into the top right hand side of the screen, with a short text description of the extra content available. If you want to pause the main show and watch the extra content straight away, click ‘view now’, or click ‘view later’ to keep watching the programme and watch the extra content at the end. Alternatively, you can ignore the icons altogether - after about 20 seconds, they will disappear.

Comments on the trial may be submitted via a feedback form.
