Synopsis
Ballet. George Balanchine’s ballet, music by Mendelssohn, danced by Pacific Northwest Ballet and recorded at the Sadler’s Wells theatre in February 1999. The vocal pieces are sung by Libby Crabtree and Judith Harris. The BBC Concert Orchestra is conducted by Stewart Kershaw. Introduced by Deborah Bull.
