The opera was broadcast simultaneously on BBC Radio 3. This broadcast is held in the British Library Sound Archive. The DVD package includes interviews with Bryn Terfel, Bernard Haitink and Graham Vick and a news feature about the extensive renovations to the stage machinery of the Royal Opera House which was originally broadcast by the BBC prior to the ROH’s re-opening in December 1999.
