- Professor Patricia Hannah Clarke’s main research was on bacterial enzymes: their evolution and properties, and producing and purifying them for industrial use. She was also involved in developments in biotechnology. She was also interested in education and particularly science teaching, and the historical contribution of women scientists. She was elected FRS in 1976 for her contributions to microbial chemistry. She talks about her life and career. 175 minutes.
