In four parts: 1) THE HOOF explains the anatomy of the horse’s foot and biomechanics of the actions of the structures within it; 2) NERVES AND NERVE BLOCKS looks at the problems of a lame horse and describes the innervation of the forelimb and the technique of nerve blocking various parts of the limb; 3) BONE explains the bone structure and function as an internal support system and mineral store; 4) JOINTS describes the different kinds of joint and their formation during embryological development.
