Synopsis

Explains the procedure for complete exploratory laparotomy in dogs with the aid of interlinking line diagrams and colour slides. Gives indications for surgery, shows the preparation and draping of the patient for the operation, and discusses relative positions of the surgical team. Shows clearly and methodically the techniques of exposing and examining the abdominal organs in sequence and builds up a well-defined picture of the anatomical relationship of the organs in question.
