Energy Alternative, The

Synopsis
Video-based pack looking at energy from the standpoint of a need for change. Begins with some predictions of future world energy consumption and their impossible consequences and goes on to explore conservation and new forms of energy production. Looks at the choices facing policy makers, particularly in the Third World, where people are suffering the consequences of the environmental crisis without ever having benefited from the prosperity that the burning of fossil fuels has created. Case studies are drawn from the UK, California, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Sweden and Gujarat.
