Eight Minutes to Midnight
- Synopsis
- The story of Dr Helen Caldicott’s struggle to inform and arouse the public about the medical dangers of the nuclear threat, and how she fits this in with family commitments. Shows her tour of Australia, where she spoke to many groups, including aborigines whose sacred lands were about to become the site of a uranium mine. Her view was that nuclear weapons and nuclear power are the greated public health hazard ever.
