Synopsis
An account of how observations of sedimentary processes can be used to interpret ancient deposits. Concentrates on processes and rocks of the Sahara and deals with aeolian, fluvial, littoral and glacial sediments. Integrates field observations of process and form with laboratory flume simulations and animation to arrive at environmental models for sedimentary rocks over 430 million years old.
