COSHH and the Clinical Researcher

Synopsis
Shows how a new clinical research project is carried out to comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988. This project is concerned with the concentrations of metabolites in blood samples from hospital patients. Special consideration has to be given to the unusual risks arising from work with hydroflouric acid, and reference is made to the need for precautions because patients’ samples may be infectious.
