- Synopsis
- Shows how a new chemistry project is carried out to comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988. This project is concerned with the synthesis and acid-induced rearrangement of thio-esters from imidate ester intermediates. The work is carried out in accordance with the departmental code of practice. At a later stage hydrofluoric acid is to be used, and additional precautions are required.
