Synopsis: Choriocarcinoma is at the malignant end of the spectrum of pregnancy-related disorders termed the gestational trophoblastic diseases. This video looks at the management of patients, but emphasises the way in which choriocarcinoma could be regarded as a model cancer: it can be diagnosed early on; it is easy to monitor; it responds well to chemotherapy; it is mostly curable.
