Early and accurate diagnosis may prevent the spread of cervical cancer in women, and cervical screening is hailed as the way forward. Part 1 considers the evidence for the effectiveness of cervical screening and shows how it is carried out. Part 2 comprises numerous slides illustrating both normal and abnormal features found in cervical smears.
