Central Agnosia: The Loss of Knowledge About Objects
- Synopsis
- Case study showing a subject who is poor at recognising visually presented objects. His difficulties cannot be accounted for by his marked visual field defects however, since he can copy objects fairly well and can match objects presented from different views. His visual disorder of recognition appears to reflect a disorder of perceptual memory, since in many cases the objects he cannot recognise he also cannot draw from memory nor decide upon their correct colour.
