Cearex Oceanography Camp

Synopsis
Describes the scientific activities which took place at the ice-camp above the Arctic Ocean in Spring 1989. The primary interest of the 25 scientists present was to study the oceanographic processes that were taking place in the ocean underneath the ten-foot thick sea ice. The project was sponsored by the US Office of Naval Research Arctic Sciences Program and was a component of the umbrella experiment known as CEAREX - the Co-ordinated Eastern Arctic Research Experiment.
