Zoology by Self-Instruction
- Synopsis
- A video-based self-instructional course in zoology for 1st-year undergraduates, following audio tutorial principles. The elements of the course - texts, AV programmes, exercises, tutorials and general sessions - are described by the course director and the editor of the learning materials, and illustrated by following students through one of the course units. The learning principles underlying the self-instructional approach are discussed, and the programme ends with comments from the students themselves on their experiences with and responses to the system.
