Synopsis
Looks at the ecological disaster in the Arabian Gulf resulting from the oil spills and burning oil wells of the conflict in the area that began in August 1990. Follows the progress of the oil slicks along hundreds of miles of coastline and shows the rescue of thousands of polluted birds and the efforts to clean the beaches before the return of the turtles to their breeding grounds. Shows the effects of the burning oil wells on migrating birds and discusses the long-term effects of the pollution.
