Talking with Stoma Patients

Synopsis
Looks at communication between nurses and stoma patients. In four sections of approximately 11 minutes each, the programme is designed to be viewed several times looking at different aspects of communication. The aim has been to obtain spontaneous and real life recordings of nurse/patient conversations. Problems discussed include pre-operative counselling, siting, coming to terms with having a stoma (body image, post-stoma problems including psycho-sexual implications).
