A series of six 10-minute programmes on food poisoning and what to do to avoid it. 1) The Microbe Is So Very Small: looks at the causes and consequences of the bacteria that cause food poisoning and how to avoid stomach upsets; 2) Going to Work on an Egg: problems of undercooked eggs; why some foods are more risky than others; 3) Germs Passed and Present: the importance of hand washing; 4) Life from Beyond the Gravy: dangerous bacteria that can reside in meat, poultry and fish; 5) Too Many Cooks: food poisoning problems that can orccur when other people do the cooking; 6) Dishing the Dirt: dangers of takeaway meals and problems with washing up.
