Stress at Work

Synopsis
A series of six interviews with people who have experienced serious problems and distress largely arising from situations at work. Those interviewed include a catering manager, a shop steward, a secretary, a bus mechanic, an airline ticket clerk and a social worker. They talk openly about their anxieties over pressures at work and how their distress distorted working relationships, seriously affected their feelings about themselves and in some instances their work and health. Also presents the views of managers and trades union officials about the nature and size of the problem and how they feel it is best dealt with. More general comments are provided by a leading occupational physician.
