Small Animal Necropsy Dissection for Animal Health Technicians

Synopsis
Aims to encourage small animal veterinarians to make more use of post-mortem examinations in following up cases. Suyggests that the vet work through the programme together with a technician, and then demonstrates a post-mortem, explaining difficulties. The technician should soon be able to carry out most of the work alone, calling the vet’s attention at appropriate moments. Gives spoken and written instrucitons for a complete examination, including full documentation and collection of samples. The stages are illustrated by dissection of a cat.
