Scared Straight! 20 Years Later

Synopsis

The original 1978 television documentary SCARED STRAIGHT! followed 17 juvenile offenders as they learnt first-hand the harsh realities of prison life from ‘lifers’ at the Rahway (New Jersey) State Prison in a project called the Juvenile Awareness Project Help. Presented by Peter Falk. This video is no longer available, but SCARED STRAIGHT 20 YEARS ON, the follow-up, revisits both the teen participants and the convicts who literally scared the young delinquents straight. The programme contains graphic language and discretion is advised.
