Renovation

Synopsis
Examines the renovation of two Victorian houses in Bristol, both owned by Solon South West Housing Association Ltd. Identifies some of the existing defects present in both properties and follows the process of rehabilitation. Includes footage of re-roofing, damp proofing, replastering, rendering, sound insulation and fire protection together with improvements such as new kitchens, bathroom fittings and central heating. The film is not intended as a recipe for good practice but serves to familiarise the viewer with the scale and scope of typical housing rehabilitation works.
