Synopsis
Progressive axanopathy (PA) is a neurological disease affecting both the central nervous system and the peripheral nerves. The disease has only been recorded in the boxer breed and its inheritance via a simple recessive gene has been established. Shows the neurological examination of a dog affected with PA. The neurological deficits that characterise the disease are demonstrated and discussed.
