Synopsis

Researchers at Harvard University asked graduating students, staff and high-school students to explain concepts such as the seasons and the phases and the moon. The suprising findings reveal common misconceptions and lead to a critique of science teaching vs student learning, showing how difficult it is to address such misconceptions successfully in the classroom.
