- Synopsis
- Shows how the traditional examination skills of inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation are applied to abdominal examination in infants and children. Demonstrates the methodical examination of the ‘cold’ abdomen, with examples of the common physical signs and explanation of their causes. Shows difference of technique to be used the the acute abdomen. Shows the differing approach to the infant together with examination findings in common disorders such a pyloric stenosis, intussusception and constipation. (21 minutes)
