Synopsis
Interactive teaching package providing practice in calculations typical of the titrimetric assays found in the British Pharmacopoeia. An introductory section presents five activities covering the principles of titrimetry, preparation of standard solutions, back titrations, significant figures/errors and units. Part two covers five titrations used in laboratories: acid-base, EDTA, precipitation, oxidation-reduction and non-aqueous, with related practice exercises. Suitable for self-paced open-learning or as part of a lecture course. Approximately 4 hours teaching material.
