Peter de Wint

Synopsis
Born in 1784, Peter de Wint, Lincolnshire’s most famous landscape painter, was a close contemporary of Turner and Constable. Richard Wood, Keeper of Art at Lincoln’s Usher Gallery, where the artist’s collection is permanently housed, talks about de Wint’s life and development as an artist, with extensive illustration from field sketches and studio work.
