Online Dictionary French

Synopsis

Not stand-alone software but data sets and a library for accessing the data. The project will develop a small size Franch-English dictionary and an interface library to incorporate the dictionary into other CALL programs. The dictionary will provide both lookup and generation facilities. There are three main components: a morphological analyser, a control dictionary and a set of sub-dictionaries. The morphological analyser and control dictionary will be integrated into a Windows-based text comprehension and translation program for trialling.
