A multimedia course introducing object-oriented software development (OOSD). It defines the main concepts and terms employed in OOSD; demonstrates techniques for object-oriented modelling and techniques; presents the main features of C++, the most widely used object-oriented language; illustrates the use of an object-oriented approach in the implementation of a small application; surveys current object-oriented analysis and design methods, languages, databases, class libraries and development tools. Requires 20-30 hours of study time.
