Synopsis
Traces the history of the nuclear arms race from 1945 and looks at attempts to control the use of atomic energy for peaceful ends. Documents continuing international efforts at control and explains the dangers of both vertical and horizontal proliferation. Shows scenes of nuclear experiments from several countries from which filmed records of such events are not seen frequently.
