Notes from a Small Island: Volume 1
- Synopsis
- Following his book of the same name, Bill Bryson sets off on a new tour of Britain, observing the British way of life. Starting at Dover, where he recalls his arrival in 1973 to a land of rain, sweet tea and hostile landladies, he heads off around Britain. His travels take him through the different faces of Britain, from the busy streets of London to the natural beauty fo the Lake District, meeting such colourful characters as the ballroom dancers of Blackpool and the caber tossers of Glenfinnan along the way.
