Synopsis

Coverage includes Egypt and the Sudan and extends to the Horn of Africa and parts of the Zaire basin and Kenya. Emphasis is placed upon scenes showing the continuity of land use change across the desert/dry savanna/moist savanna and coastal zone environments, together with a selection illustrating the wide variety of geological structures and desert landscape features of the Sahara.
