Synopsis

A resouce-based French language learning tool outlining and exemplifying exploitation procedures and strategies for textual databases such as ‘Le Monde’ on CD-ROM. Specific objectives are to facilitate the development of appropriate text-processing techniques for extensive and intensive factual and linguistic information retrieval and development of awareness of discourse parameters for decoding and encoding purposes.
