Measurement of Power

Synopsis
Considers the problems which arise in measuring power, both from a commercial point of view and also with respect to techniques which students will use in the laboratory. Discusses both single-handed and 3-phase systems but confines itself to measurements at frequencies around 50Hz. Following a theoretical introduction, looks at the wide range of instruments used to measure power, from the ordinary domestic meter to highly sophisticated devices used in the laboratory or in process control.
