Assistance Animals

Synopsis

Scientific studies over the last 20 years have begun to examine the human relationship with animals. This video documents some of the assistance animal and pet therapy programmes which have been developed in the UK as a result of these studies. In three parts: 1) dogs for the disabled; 2) hearing dogs for the deaf; 3) hospital visiting PAT dogs, companion animals and animals as therapy in prisons.
