- Synopsis
- Examines the design and layout of production areas and the organisation and management problems relating to the operation of production and technical services, within institutions or area resource centres. The envisaged scale of activities would involve a fulltime service with its own staff. Discussesdesign and layout criteria and considers the development of systems for deciding production priorities; the designing of forms and schedules to control loans, bookings, repair and maintenance, and scheduling of staff duties; the planning network for the major forms of a-v production; and the organisation of team work on production days. There is a recorded interview with a technical manager of media services which covers the administrative duties related to the technical control of production work and the optimum establishment, selection and training of technical staff.
