Making and Meaning: Rubens’s Landscapes

Subtitle
Rubens’s landscapes
Synopsis
Rubens painted his landscapes largely for his own pleasure, and many of them are painted on panels made up of several individual pieces of wood. The programme includes a reconstruction of the preparation of a panel, from the tree-felling to the grounding, and it shows these landscapes and his house and surrounding countryside.
