Synopsis
Examines Tourette’s syndrome, a brain disorder characterised by muscular and vocal tics as well as obsessive behaviours. Looks at the difficulty of diagnosing the condition, and the imperfect understanding of its precise biochemical basis. Explores the challenges for doctors and researchers, and above all for the sufferers. Discusses the importance of understanding the interactions between the genetic, neurological, psychological and sociological aspects of the illness.
